About BMCS
The story so far...
It started with a sailing blog. Back in 2015, I moved to France and Skipper Dave (Dad) needed help revamping his website. One thing lead to another, and I ended up building a portfolio of niche websites and social networks. Over 50 sites later (some very good, others not so much), BlueMoonCreative.Services grew out of that experience as a way to put everything I’d learned to good use—helping other people build their own online presence while doing work I genuinely enjoy.
As I have found, in today’s tech-driven reality, getting started online has never been easier. The tools are all there, they’re affordable, and many of them are genuinely good. The difficulty is knowing where to start, which ones are worth your time, and how to manage them all together—when your time and focus are on running your business, finding the tools is rarely the hard part. Choosing the right ones for the best result usually is.
That’s where I come in. Whether your project relates to a website build or revision, development of your business plan and financial models, or you just need guidance from someone who’s already made some of the more obvious mistakes (so you don’t have to)—I’m here to help… and sometimes I even do it for a fee.

I work independently — one person, working directly with you. No account managers, no handoffs, no junior team picking up your project once the contract is signed. Whether it's a one-off build or ongoing support, you get the same person throughout which tends to make things simpler and more straightforward for everyone.
My approach is common sense. At the start of a project, before even opening a design tool, the aim is to ask the right questions to understand the business, audience, goals and then commit to the desired outcome. Once you have the answers, technology tends to look after itself.

Here are just a few of the sites I've built for clients and personal projects — each one different, but with the same result: they look good, work well and do the job they were intended to do. Sometimes, even with the best intentions, things don't always go to plan but there is always a lesson to be learned before trying again.
All of these sites are built on WordPress, with one Squarespace exception, and are customised using a child theme and my core suite of proven plugins. Utilising tools like Elementor and Crocoblock has given me the flexibility to create functional, dynamic and unique websites tailored to just how I need them (most of the time).
